High school students who are pondering their next steps for college, training, or career—and the family and guardians who support them—are invited to attend VSAC’s free College & Career Pathways event, Saturday, March 14, at the University of Vermont. 

Lee, a senior at Lake Region Union High School, is charting his path to a career in psychiatric nursing. With resilience and support from his family, Lee is determined to show that transgender students can succeed in challenging STEM careers.

After facing difficult living circumstances, health challenges, and single parenthood, Samantha found the courage to begin again. She earned academic honors and discovered her path. Soon graduating with her bachelor’s degree, she’s accelerating toward her master’s—and a career in helping children.
