There is no obvious hardship about him, but the fact is that Jeffery has been the breadwinner in his family since he was in eleventh grade.

“There were jobs I was qualified for, but I would look ahead six months and think, ‘No, I'm gonna bail.’” Susan began to realize it was time to do something she enjoyed and believed in.

“Scholarships and grants have put me in a position to be successful in a way I want to be, not in a way that financial conditions would have dictated.”
