A message from VSAC: Our commitment to racial and social justice
Please note: VSAC will be closed Friday, July 3, 2020, in observance of Independence Day.
The Vermont Student Assistance Corporation is unique in its scope and role. Created by the Vermont Legislature in 1965 as a public nonprofit agency, we advocate for students and their families to make sure that they have the information, the counseling and the financial aid to achieve their education goals.
We begin by helping families save for education. Our counselors work with students in nearly every Vermont middle school and high school, and again as adults. Our financial aid programs attract national recognition, and our loan programs and loan forgiveness programs are saving Vermont families thousands of dollars in interest.
Vermonters will need to continue their education after high school. We're here to make that happen.
Welcome to VSAC’s Newsroom! Here you will find stories about Vermonters and how VSAC helps them plan better, pay smarter and aim higher.
VSAC has a presence in every Vermont county and nearly every Vermont high school and middle school. We’re where you are as you pursue your educational goals.
Are you a member of the media? VSAC is here to help with your storytelling; please contact us to arrange for interviews with our experts in education.
