Time to register for College Pathways 2016!
Are you a high school sophomore or junior (or the parent of one!) who are unsure how to search for the right college “fit”? Aspire to go but aren’t sure how to get in or afford college? Or don’t know what to study or even if they should apply?
Come to VSAC’s free College Pathways 2016 event! Workshops for parents and students will cover searching, applying step-by-step (including tips for students considering highly selective colleges), and paying for college; choosing majors; writing a slam-dunk essay that sets you apart; playing college sports, SAT/ACT prep and more.
New this year: What I Wish I Had Known — student panelists give perspectives on applying and going to college, plus the challenges, successes and surprises once they got there.
This year’s event will be held at three college campus locations/dates:
Saturday, March 19, St. Michael’s College, 9:30 am -2:45 pm (lunch provided)
Saturday, April 2, Castleton University, 9:30 am -2:00 pm (lunch provided)
Monday evening, April 4, Lyndon State College (with the NEK college fair; pizza provided)
Registration is now open, with details on all workshops and sites at www.vsac.org/collegepathways.
