Arnold Magoon Conservation Scholarship
(sponsored by the Vermont Game Wardens Association)
This scholarship was established to help individuals learn about and
improve the sports of hunting and fishing, as well as wildlife and our
natural habitat.
Eligibility:
Major in forestry, conservation, ecology, fish and game
management, biology, or a related field
(preference given to the child of
a Vermont game warden)
Required documents:

• Recommendation letter from teacher, principal, or school counselor
• Short essay outlining your reasons for wanting this scholarship

Associated General Contractors of Vermont Scholarship
This scholarship was created to encourage and enable individuals to
pursue careers in the construction industry.
Eligibility:
• Seek education or training (i.e., academic, vocational, technical, or
advanced) in a field related to construction
(preference given to students
attending a Vermont college or university)
• Demonstrate financial need
Required documents:
• Essay explaining why you deserve this award and describing your
future intentions in the construction industry
• Two recommendation letters
• Explanation of financial need

Clif Murray and Floyd Fuller Memorial Scholarship
(sponsored by the Vermont Horse Council)
This scholarship was established to provide financial support to young
people seeking either to obtain advanced training in equine studies or
to enter occupations that directly support the horse industry.
Eligibility:
• Attend a college/university that provides a quality education in
equine studies or animal science
• Seek a degree or advanced training in equine or animal studies, or a
field that directly supports the horse industry
• Not be a previous recipient
Required documents:
• Resumé that includes your name, address, and phone number; your
parent(s) names, address(es), and phone number(s); schools attended,
grades, and work experience (if applicable)
• Letter outlining your history of involvement with horses, community
service and other activities, and future plans
• Two recommendation letters: one from an experienced horse person
attesting to your interest in equine studies and your talents with horses,
and one from a school official (school counselor, teacher, etc.) attesting
to your ability and aptitude for serious study

Scholarship for a Displaced Homemaker
(Barbara Jean Barker Memorial Scholarship)
Eligibility:
• Primarily have been a homemaker for at least 15 years
• Have lost main means of support through death, divorce, separation,
or longtime illness, OR unemployment of a spouse
• Plan to upgrade skills to enter the workforce outside the home
