VSAC Board of Directors Scholarship (Joseph Boutin)
(sponsored by the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation)
VSAC established this scholarship to honor the contributions Joseph
Boutin made as a VSAC board member from October 1985 through
June 2007.
Eligibility:
• Attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding
(Pell grants, Stafford loans, PLUS loans)
• Reside in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont (Caledonia, Essex,
or Orleans County) OR reside in Burlington
• Demonstrate financial need
Required documents:
Unified Scholarship Application, FAFSA,
recommendation letter #1 (non-relative) and essay #1 (general essay)
Renewability:
May be renewable for up to four years.
Amount:
Two scholarships up to $1,000 each
Selection:
Financial need, essay, and recommendation letter

• Graduate (or have graduated) from Bellows Falls Union High School,
Green Mountain Union High School, or Springfield High School
• Demonstrate academic achievement
• Demonstrate financial need
• Demonstrate school/community involvement

recommendation letter #2 (community service), essay #1 (general
essay), and official transcript
Amount:
One $1,000 scholarship

Cole-Levesque made as a VSAC board member from July 2005
through June 2015.
Eligibility:
• Attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding
(Pell grants, Stafford loans, PLUS loans)
• Reside in Rutland or Windsor County
• Seek a degree in health care or science
• Demonstrate academic achievement (minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
on a 4.0 scale)
• Demonstrate financial need
• Demonstrate school/community involvement
Required documents:

recommendation letter #1 (non-relative), recommendation letter #2
(community service), essay #1 (general essay), and official transcript

This scholarship was established to help single female parents advance
their careers.
Eligibility:

• Reside in Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, or Lamoille
County
• Be a female who is the head of a single-parent family
• Demonstrate financial need

youngest child for whom you are the custodial parent)
Amount:
Scholarships range from $500 to $1,000
